REFUND TERMS AND AGREEMENT
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1. The 140th Canton Fair is scheduled to take place in Guangzhou, China, from 15th October to 4th November 2026.
2. World Trade Centre Abuja ("WTC Abuja") is facilitating the participation of Nigerian enterprises in this international trade mission as part of its mandate to promote trade, investment, and global expansion opportunities.
3. The undersigned participant ("the Participant") has expressed interest in joining the Trade Mission and requires the administrative and coordination support of WTC Abuja, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein and those imposed by the Canton Fair Organisers.
4. Roles and Responsibilities: WTC Abuja shall serve strictly as a facilitator between Nigerian participants and the organisers. Its role shall be limited to: sourcing and pre-qualifying potential attendees from its network; compiling delegate lists and submitting required information; maintaining communication with delegates; overall event coordination and facilitation for the Nigerian delegation; direct coordination with Chinese organizers; visa processing, facilitation, and follow-up; documentation and engagement with the Chinese Embassy.
5. For the avoidance of doubt, all arrangements relating to airfare, accommodation, meals, personal costs, visa application fees, in-country logistics and any other incurred costs remain the sole responsibility of the Participant.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Refund Policy & Fee Structure — Regular Travelers (with prior international travel history): WTC Abuja Admin Fee – ₦250,000 (non-refundable). First-Time Travellers (virgin passports): WTC Abuja Admin Fee – ₦500,000 (non-refundable). Note: The administrative fee is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances. All payments made are final. Therefore, no refunds shall be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to visa denial, force majeure events, non-attendance at the event, or any other unforeseen or intervening circumstances beyond the control of the Participant.
2. Exclusions and Additional Costs — The above fees do not cover airfare, accommodation, visa application fees, meals, tours, insurance, or other personal/incidental expenses. The Participant shall bear full responsibility for these costs.
3. Liability and Indemnity — WTC Abuja shall not be liable for any personal injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense incurred by the Participant arising from attendance at or travel to the Canton Fair, except where directly attributable to WTC Abuja's gross negligence or wilful misconduct. The Participant undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless WTC Abuja from and against any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from their participation, travel, or activities during the mission.
4. Compliance with Event Rules — The Participant agrees to abide by all instructions, rules, and guidelines issued by WTC Abuja and the host organizers. Failure to comply may result in exclusion from activities without refund or compensation.
5. Force Majeure — WTC Abuja shall not be held liable for any failure, delay, or cancellation of the Participant's involvement in the Canton Fair where such arises from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to: acts of God, pandemics, government restrictions, war, terrorism, strikes, civil unrest, natural disasters, or cancellation/postponement of the event by Canton Fair organisers, or host authorities. In such cases, the no-refund policy for WTC Abuja Admin Fees remains in force, but WTC Abuja will use reasonable efforts to facilitate communication and alternative arrangements where possible.
I have read, understood, and agree to the Refund Terms and Agreement above, including the Refund Policy, Exclusions and Additional Costs, Liability, Compliance, and Force Majeure provisions.
